Preface:

The GeoKurdistan Conference serves as a significant scientific assembly within the fields of earth science, featuring diverse ideas and recent advancements. It encourages researchers to actively engage in the event, held once in two years, fostering participation and knowledge exchange. Since its inception in 2012, this conference has continuously progressed, elevating the quality and quantity of submitted papers. Organized by the Department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum at the University of Sulaimani, in collaboration with the Geological Society of Kurdistan, the conference primarily concentrates on various facets of Kurdistan’s geology and neighbouring regions. National and international scientists are welcomed by the organized committee, urging them to participate with active involvement in this significant event.

Conference Objectives:

The primary goal of GeoKurdistan is to provide an engaging platform and immersive learning experience to its diverse audience in order to help shape the future of the fields of earth sciences, natural resources, and economic and industrials.

  • To investigate the challenges of Industrials and Economics.

  • Have the opportunity to publish your research in IGBM journal.

  • Have the chance to explore new field site.

  • To take decisive action on geological concerns in Kurdistan and Iraq.

Venue:

The GeoKurdistan VI will be held in the city of Sulaimani, at the new campus of University of Sulaimani during the period of 5-7th November 2024. The conference provides a unique opportunity for academics and professional geologists to exchange new ideas in different fields of geosciences, address new challenges, share solutions and outline future research directions and recommendations.
