History of Geokurdistan conference:

The GeoKurdistan conference was established and organized in 2012 by the University of Sulaimani's Department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum, in collaboration with the Kurdish Geological Society.

Over time, this conference has grown into an internationally recognized venue for scholars, researchers, and professionals to engage, share insights, and contribute to the growth of Earth science-related issues, national and foreign scientists participated the conference by submitting research on different aspects of Kurdistan's geology and border regions.
